The word is spreading like a bad cold with a vengeance. The Nikon D40 is said to be announced soon, but who really knows? I suppose Nikon and a couple of other people working there do know. But with rumors abound, is it Fact or Fiction? We’ll see soon enough, or maybe not at all.

The lens is what makes the camera, that’s it, in not so many words. Sure the camera needs to have a good megapixel, speed, easy to use menu system, well thought out dials to operate the camera, but what really makes the difference in a good digital SLR, is the lenses. The lens is what brings in the light or obstructs it. The sharpness, crisp colors, and beautiful detail is captured through the lens to the image sensor.
