Guys.. D40 is a good nikon hard work for designing camera. Now i pairing my D40 with 18-105mm VR Lens ex. D90 Kit its works really good as my other lens companion is 12-14mm F1.4 as partner.

Cheers NIKON!!!!

Just an update after a few months of ownership.

If this camera is not flawless, it certainly is close to it. I have nothing but praise for the way it handles and the picture quality. We like it so much, I just bought a second D40 with the 70-300 VR lens for my wife to use for bird photography!

I bought a D40 and a 18-200 VR zoom yesterday, and have fallen in love with this pairing. This is my first digital SLR, but not my first digital camera. I have used Nikon film cameras for 35 years.

The D40 feels good in my hand, and the menu system is the best I have seen to date. The 18-200 VR lens is remarkable and easily replaces 4 lenses in my older system.

This lens and camera, along with a Sigma 10-20 should make the ideal traveling set-up for me.

Keep up the good work.
